Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 5s has a global score of 76.4, which is just a bit better than the TCL 20 Pro 5G's 76.1 general score. These phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi 5s has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and TCL 20 Pro 5G has Android 11, so it gives you some extra features. The Xiaomi Mi 5s is an incredibly older device than the TCL 20 Pro 5G, but Xiaomi could make it thinner and a lot lighter anyway.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a greater amount of RAM and a larger number of cores. Xiaomi Mi 5s has just a bit better looking display than TCL 20 Pro 5G, because although it has a much smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixel amount per inch in the display.
TCL 20 Pro 5G has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a SD card slot that allows up to 1 TB and 128 GB more internal memory. TCL 20 Pro 5G captures much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has a camera with way more mega-pixels, a bigger camera aperture and a larger sensor which offers a higher photo and video quality.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G features a very superior battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
