The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a general score of 83.3, which is much better than vivo NEX 3's 73.9 score. Despite of the fact that Xiaomi Mi 8 is older than the vivo NEX 3, it's design is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 8 has the older 10 version while vivo NEX 3 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The vivo NEX 3 features a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the vivo NEX 3 also has more RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a little more vivid display than vivo NEX 3, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
The vivo NEX 3 has a greater camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same camera aperture, the vivo NEX 3 also has a way more mega-pixels camera and a lot bigger back camera sensor providing a way higher image quality.
Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with as much memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as vivo NEX 3, they have equal 256 GB internal storage capacity. Vivo NEX 3 has better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3400mAh.
