The Galaxy M40 is much better than the vivo X50, having an 85 score against 73. Both of these phones have the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't see any differences in that aspect. Galaxy M40 is an older and just a little bit thicker phone than the vivo X50, but Samsung was able to make it a little bit lighter anyway.
Vivo X50 and Galaxy M40 both feature quite similar displays, because although the Galaxy M40 has a bit smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it also counts with a little higher quantity of pixels in each inch of display. Vivo X50 has a little better processing power than Galaxy M40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the vivo X50 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The vivo X50 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy M40, and although they both have a same size sensor, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the vivo X50 also has a bigger camera aperture and a much higher 48 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
Galaxy M40 counts with a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than vivo X50, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy M40 also has an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB. Vivo X50 has improved battery performance than Galaxy M40, because it has a 20 percent bigger battery size.
