The Samsung Galaxy A42 has an overall score of 87, which is much better than vivo X80's global score of 74.1. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version while vivo X80 has Android 12 version. Even though the Samsung Galaxy A42 is older and just a little bit thicker than the vivo X80, it's design is still a bit lighter.
Vivo X80 has a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the vivo X80 also has more RAM memory. The vivo X80 features an incredibly better looking screen than Galaxy A42, because it has a little bigger screen, more pixels per inch in the screen and a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The Galaxy A42 captures slightly better photographs and videos than vivo X80, although it has a worse resolution camera in the back, they both have a F1.8 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a way bigger storage for games and applications than vivo X80, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 1000 GB.
Galaxy A42 features a bit better battery performance than vivo X80, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
