The Xperia Z5 Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is slightly better than vivo X80's 74.1 global score. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but Xperia Z5 Premium has an older 5.1 version while vivo X80 has Android 12 version. Even though Xperia Z5 Premium is much older than vivo X80, it's construction is lighter and just a little bit thinner.
The vivo X80 features a little better performance than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the vivo X80 also counts with a larger amount of RAM. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a sharper display than vivo X80, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a lot better pixels density.
The vivo X80 counts with a bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Vivo X80 counts with longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.
Xperia Z5 Premium features a little bit better camera than vivo X80, although it has a lot smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing lot worse quality images and a lot less megapixels resolution camera, they both have a F1.8 aperture.
