Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is a bit better than the Xiaomi 12 Pro, having a general score of 84.2 against 79.6. Both phones we are comparing here include Android OS (operating system), but the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a newer 14 version while Xiaomi 12 Pro has Android 12. Although Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is extremely newer than Xiaomi 12 Pro, it is just a little thicker and just a little heavier.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a little sharper display than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because although it has a way worse pixel number per display inch and a way lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px, it also counts with way more brightness and a bit larger screen. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi 12 Pro, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi 12 Pro shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, and although they both have a 50 megapixels camera in the back, the same aperture, the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has a larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a higher photo and video quality.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because it has 512 GB internal memory. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features superior battery performance than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4600mAh.
