Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi 12's 78.8 general score. Both phones we compare here include Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi 12 has Android 12 version, so it gives you a couple additional features. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star is older and just a bit heavier than Xiaomi 12, it's body is still just a bit thinner.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a very superior CPU than Xiaomi 12, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Xiaomi 12 features a better display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xiaomi 12 also has a little better count of pixels per inch in the display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px.
The Xiaomi 12 features a much better camera than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for capturing pictures or videos in low-light situations, it also counts with a way bigger camera sensor, a lot better 7680x4320 video definition and a much better 50 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
The Galaxy A8 Star has more memory for games and applications than Xiaomi 12, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits up to 400 GB. The Xiaomi 12 has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
