Comparison review
The Xiaomi 12 has an overall score of 78.8, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s's 76.4 overall score. Xiaomi 12's body has the same thickness than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, but it's heavier. Both phones we are comparing here come with Android OS, but Xiaomi 12 has the older 12 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s features an extremely better CPU than Xiaomi 12, although it has a lower number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi 12 counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a quite worse display pixels density, it also counts with a larger screen, much more brightness and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
Xiaomi 12 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a larger aperture for better images and video in low light situations, a camera in the back with a much better 50 mega-pixels resolution, a way higher video resolution and a much bigger sensor which offers a way better photo and video quality.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s's storage capacity to store more apps and games is very similar to Xiaomi 12's one, both of them have equal 128 GB internal memory. Xiaomi 12 counts with a really longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 41% more battery capacity.
