The Galaxy J8 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi-3, having a 76.7 score against 71.6. The Galaxy J8 design has the same thickness than the Xiaomi Mi-3, but it's somewhat heavier. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy J8 has the older 10 version and Xiaomi Mi-3 has Android 4.4.2 version.

The Xiaomi Mi-3 counts with a lot better display than Galaxy J8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way greater screen pixel density and a higher 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The Xiaomi Mi-3 counts with just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a lower number of cores and 2 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor.

The Galaxy J8 shoots clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi-3, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy J8 also has a higher resolution back facing camera and a way bigger diafragm aperture to capture better captures and video in poorly lited situations.

Samsung Galaxy J8 has a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi-3, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Galaxy J8 has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has a 15 percent larger battery capacity.
