Xiaomi Mi-3 Review

Xiaomi Mi-3 is a wonderful Android cellphone, featuring a pretty large 5 inches multi-touch screen, an extremely powerful 2.36 GHz Quad-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 13 megapixels back side camera and a 2 MP front side camera. But let's get into much more detail.

This cellphone only has 5.67 inches long and 2.9 inches wide, but it's able to fit a a 5" display. The Xiaomi Mi-3 has an inspired design, with a thickness of just 0.32". This phone is only for sale in black color. Xiaomi did a very good design job making the Xiaomi Mi-3 weight only 5.11 ounces.

Xiaomi equipped this phone with an astonishing 5-inches screen, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD), which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels forming the screen. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This phone ships with a great Quad-Core processor running at 2360 MHz, packed into the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8974-AB chip and a large 2 GB RAM memory. Graphic calculations often consume a lot of processor cycles, so this phone counts with an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit working at 450 MHz to help handle those graphic tasks. A great point of this phone is its big 64 GB internal storage memory and while it doesn't include a slot for an external memory card, it is still enough to install hundreds of applications and even the largest games available nowadays without having to worry about running out of space at all.

The Xiaomi Mi-3 is equipped with two cameras, a 13 megapixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It is capable of shooting videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second. Additionally, the camera has many great characteristics: flash, digital image stabilization, auto-focus, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.

This cellphone comes with an inmense 3050 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery providing the Xiaomi Mi-3 an amazing battery duration. An issue to take into account is that the Xiaomi Mi-3's battery isn't replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to live shorter, while with such a big battery you will probably replace this phone before that becomes an issue.

This cellphone provides Wi-Fi connectivity (which can be provided to other devices around, acting as a wireless router or modem), HSPA+ (4G) data connection, that is not as fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Xiaomi Mi-3 is priced around $ 300, which is somewhat expensive for a phone this level. If you you love taking photos, want it to play games, are looking for a work phone or will use it mainly for internet broswing and social networks, you will definitely love this phone.
