The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi-3, getting a 76 score against 71.6. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 design is just a little bit thinner but heavier than the Xiaomi Mi-3. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version while Xiaomi Mi-3 has Android 4.4.2, giving you a lot of extra features and performance improvements.
The Xiaomi Mi-3 features a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 4 cores, the Xiaomi Mi-3 also counts with a graphics processing unit. Xiaomi Mi-3 counts with a better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080px, the Xiaomi Mi-3 also counts with a quite better pixel count in each inch of screen.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has 128 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has a 33% larger battery capacity. The Xiaomi Mi-3 features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a much lower video quality, a camera with way less MP and a smaller aperture.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Mi-3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi-3. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Mi-3, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your money.
