Both of these phones work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has the previous 12 version and Xiaomi Mi-3 has Android 4.4.2.
Xiaomi Mi-3 has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a bit greater display pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has a superior memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has 256 GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer features a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi-3, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more processing cores and 6 GB more RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer takes a lot better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has a way more MP back-facing camera, a lot higher (4K) video definition and a lot bigger camera aperture to take better low-light photos and video.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer counts with a very superior battery performance than Xiaomi Mi-3, because it has a 41% larger battery capacity.
