The HTC U Ultra is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5, with a 77 score against 73.7. Xiaomi Mi 5 features a little sharper screen than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1440, the Xiaomi Mi 5 also counts with a bit higher pixels amount per inch of display.
The HTC U Ultra counts with a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the HTC U Ultra also has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB. Xiaomi Mi 5 features a bit superior processing unit than HTC U Ultra, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Mi 5 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
HTC U Ultra counts with a very superior camera than Xiaomi Mi 5, although it has a camera in the back with lot less megapixels resolution, they both have the same diafragm aperture. The Xiaomi Mi 5 counts with better battery lifetime than HTC U Ultra, because it has a 20% bigger battery capacity.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi 5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy HTC U Ultra, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Mi 5, resigning a couple features and specifications.
