Huawei Mate X2 is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 5, getting an 89.1 score against 73.7. The Huawei Mate X2 counts with a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with more processing cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a sharper screen than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a really smaller screen and a quite lower 2560 x 1440 resolution, it also counts with a higher pixels count per inch in the display. Huawei Mate X2 features a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The Huawei Mate X2 counts with better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. The Huawei Mate X2 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light captures and video, it also counts with a lot more megapixels back camera.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi 5. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Mi 5, letting go some specs and features.
