Comparison review
The Xperia 1 is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 5, getting a overall score of 82.6 against 73.7. Xperia 1 features a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Mi 5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and more cores. The Xperia 1 counts with a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 5, because it has a better resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a just a bit better count of pixels in each inch in the screen and a larger display.
The Sony Xperia 1 features a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Mi 5 features just a little bit longer battery duration than Sony Xperia 1, because it has an 8% more battery capacity.
Xperia 1 features a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5, because although it has a camera with much less MP, it also counts with a larger aperture.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Mi 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi 5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Mi 5, resigning some features and specifications.
