Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 5, having a score of 75.8 against 73.7. Xiaomi Mi 5 features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a much better memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 128 GB. The Xiaomi Mi 5 features just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has an inferior number of cores and less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional GPU.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a bit better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5, although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for shooting photos in low-light situations and a much worse 12 MP resolution back camera.
