Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus's 78.1 score. Galaxy A8 Star is a newer and just a bit thinner phone than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, although it's also somewhat heavier. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, providing some additional features.
Galaxy A8 Star features a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a greater number of cores (although slower).
