Samsung Galaxy M31 is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, getting a general score of 86.5 against 78.1. Both phones we compare here work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy M31 has the previous 11 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Even though Samsung Galaxy M31 is newer than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, it's somewhat thicker and heavier.
Samsung Galaxy M31 has a display that's just as good as the display in Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although the Samsung Galaxy M31 has much less brightness, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2340 resolution, a bit bigger screen and a bit more pixels per inch of display. The Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with more memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have a 6 GB RAM, the Galaxy M31 also has a higher number of cores.
