HTC U Ultra has a global score of 77, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 5s's 76.4 global score. Although HTC U Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 5s were only released with a couple months difference, the HTC U Ultra construction is somewhat heavier but just a little thinner. The Xiaomi Mi 5s has just a bit better processing power than HTC U Ultra. Both have 4 processing cores and a 4 GB RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a bit sharper screen than HTC U Ultra, although it has a bit lower quantity of pixels per inch in the display, a little smaller display and a lot lower resolution of 1080 x 1920. The HTC U Ultra has just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the same resolution back camera, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a same size back-facing camera sensor, the HTC U Ultra also has a bigger aperture.
The HTC U Ultra counts with a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xiaomi Mi 5s features just a bit better battery duration than HTC U Ultra, because it has a 7% more battery size.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Mi 5s. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Mi 5s, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
