Xiaomi Mi 5s is just a bit better than the Moto G8 Power, with a global score of 76.4 against 76. These devices use Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Mi 5s has newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Moto G8 Power has Android 10, giving you some nice extra features and enhanced performance. Xiaomi Mi 5s is an way older phone than Moto G8 Power, but Xiaomi was able to make it thinner and lighter anyway.

Xiaomi Mi 5s has a bit sharper display than Motorola Moto G8 Power, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit better pixels number in each inch of screen. The Motorola Moto G8 Power has a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Motorola Moto G8 Power also has a higher number of cores (although they are slower).

Motorola Moto G8 Power has a greater memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 512 GB. The Moto G8 Power has just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing worse quality videos and images, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Moto G8 Power also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos and a much more mega pixels camera.

Motorola Moto G8 Power counts with a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.

Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it costs a lot more than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola Moto G8 Power. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 5s, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Moto G8 Power, giving up a couple specs and features.
