Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s is a little bit better than the Galaxy Alpha, with a 76.4 score against 76.3. Both phones in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi 5s has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version while Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4. Even being the best in this comparison review, Xiaomi Mi 5s's design is a lot heavier and thicker than Galaxy Alpha.
Galaxy Alpha features just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Galaxy Alpha also counts with a GPU. The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a little sharper screen than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a much higher 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a little bigger screen and more pixels per inch in the display.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a way bigger storage for applications and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 96 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity against 1860mAh. The Xiaomi Mi 5s takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a back facing camera with a 12 mega-pixels resolution and the same (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better low light images.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
