Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, having a overall score of 83 against 76.4. The Galaxy Note8 construction is newer than Xiaomi Mi 5s's, although it's extremely heavier and just a little bit thicker. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note8 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Galaxy Note8 and Xiaomi Mi 5s count with really similar displays, although the Galaxy Note8 also has a much better 1440 x 2960px resolution, a larger display and a little bit higher pixel quantity in each inch of display. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a little bit better storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds up to 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 features just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a higher amount of RAM and a greater number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Note8 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a tinier camera sensor which provides a worse photo and video quality, and they both have the same video definition, the same resolution camera and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also counts with a bigger aperture.
