Comparison review
Xperia 1 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, with a global score of 82.6 against 76.4. The Xperia 1 is a heavier cellphone than Xiaomi Mi 5s, but both of them have the same thickness. Xperia 1 features a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a larger number of cores.
The Xperia 1 counts with a little bit better display than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has way less brightness, it also counts with a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution, a larger screen and a way greater display density. Sony Xperia 1 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a tinier camera sensor which offers a lower image and video quality and lower 24 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a camera in the back with a 12 mega-pixels resolution, the Sony Xperia 1 also counts with a larger aperture for better low light images and video.
The Sony Xperia 1 features a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia 1 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Sony Xperia 1 has a little better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 4% more battery size.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi 5s. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi 5s, resigning a couple features and specifications.
