Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Z5 is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, having a 77.6 score against 76.4. These devices include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 has the older 5.1 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Sony Xperia Z5 is an older and a little bit heavier phone than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, but Sony could make it a little bit thinner anyway.
The Sony Xperia Z5 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with more cpu cores (although slower) and an extra graphics co-processor. The Xperia Z5 counts with a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi 5s. Both of them have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, a screen of the same size and the same number of pixels in each inch in the screen.
Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit longer battery life than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity instead of 2900mAh.
The Sony Xperia Z5 counts with just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same video resolution and a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a larger diafragm aperture for better captures in low-light situations and a much more mega-pixels back facing camera.
Although Xperia Z5 is a better device, it is more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Mi 5s. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Mi 5s, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
