Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s's score of 76.4. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium body is a bit thinner than Xiaomi Mi 5s, although it's heavier and was released just a bit more than a year before. These phones include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Xperia Z5 Premium has just a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with 4 more cores and an extra graphics processor. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a lot better display than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a quite larger screen, a much higher resolution of 3840 x 2160px and a much greater quantity of pixels per inch of screen.
The Xperia Z5 Premium takes a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same sensor size, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a bigger diafragm aperture and a lot more megapixels camera in the back.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a quite bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 7% larger battery capacity.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi 5s. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia Z5 Premium, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi 5s, resigning some features and specifications.
