The Xiaomi Black Shark is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, with an 80.4 score against 76.4. The Xiaomi Black Shark is a newer phone than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, although it's thicker and way heavier. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Xiaomi Black Shark has newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, providing the user a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Black Shark, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit more screen brightness and a just a little more pixels per inch of screen. Xiaomi Black Shark features a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a greater number of cores and a higher amount of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s and the Xiaomi Black Shark both have incredibly similar storage capacity to install games and applications, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Black Shark counts with just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a way tinier back camera sensor taking lot lower quality videos and images, and they both have the same video frame rate, the same video definition and a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels, the Xiaomi Black Shark also counts with a bigger camera aperture for better low-light photography.
The Xiaomi Black Shark features improved battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
