Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is better than Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting an 88.9 score against 76.4. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha design is notably newer than Xiaomi Mi 5s's, but it is incredibly heavier and much thicker. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has the previous 10 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a higher number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi 5s has a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, because although it has a way worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater number of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha also has a bigger camera aperture to take better low light images and video, a way bigger sensor providing a way better image quality and a back camera with much more megapixels.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha counts with a much greater memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 512 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha features greater battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 27% greater battery capacity.
