Xiaomi Mi 5s has a score of 76.4, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Note 2's 76 overall score. Both of these phones use the same Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that. Xiaomi Mi 5s's body is lighter but a little thicker than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and both were released with only a few months difference.
Xiaomi Mi 5s features a sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 1920, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a little greater screen pixel density. Xiaomi Mi Note 2's storage for apps and games is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 5s one, both of them have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 also has a greater amount of RAM. Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a worse video resolution and a camera in the back with lot less megapixels resolution, and they both have a F2 diafragm aperture, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a bigger camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features improved battery life than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 4070mAh battery size instead of 3200mAh.
