Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting a general score of 81.1 against 76.4. Both devices in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has the older 10 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro construction is much newer, but way heavier and just a little bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi 5s.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a greater number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a little bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better number of pixels in each display inch.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro captures greater pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has a larger aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited situations, a much larger sensor which offers a lot higher photo and video quality and a back facing camera with a way better 64 MP resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features more storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a much better battery life than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 57% larger battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro not only is the best phones of the ones we are comparing, but it's also a bargain compared to others.
