Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is slightly better than the OnePlus 8, getting a score of 76.5 against 76. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is an much older device than the OnePlus 8, but Xiaomi was able to build it just a little bit lighter and a bit thinner anyway. OnePlus 8 features just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi 6, because although it has a quite worse quantity of pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px, a bigger display and much more screen brightness.
The OnePlus 8 and Xiaomi Mi 6 have very similar storage capacity to store more games and applications, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity. The OnePlus 8 features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Mi 6, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 8 also has a higher amount of RAM.
OnePlus 8 counts with longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 6, because it has a 4300mAh battery capacity against 3350mAh. OnePlus 8 captures greater pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 6, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture and the same (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a much better resolution camera in the back and better 60 fps video frame rate.
Although Xiaomi Mi 6 is a better device, it costs more money than OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 8. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy OnePlus 8, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
