Comparison review
The Huawei P20 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, with a score of 78.1 against 77.7. Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo, giving some additional features and better performance. Huawei P20 is a just a little lighter cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, but they are equally thin.
The Huawei P20 features a processor that is just as good as Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's processor, and although the Huawei P20 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Huawei P20 features just a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2244, it also counts with a quite better display pixels density.
Huawei P20's storage to install games and applications is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite one, both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. Huawei P20 takes clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same (4K) video resolution and the same resolution back-facing camera, the Huawei P20 also has a bigger sensor shooting higher quality photos and a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better photos and videos in poorly lited situations.
Huawei P20 has a battery lifetime that is very similar to the battery performance in Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, although the Huawei P20 also has a 3400mAh battery size.
