Comparison review
Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a score of 87.1, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 8's score of 83.3. Although Huawei Mate 30 Pro is newer than Xiaomi Mi 8, it is somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier. Both of these phones work with the same Android 10 OS. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 30 Pro, although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248, a just a bit less pixels per screen inch and a little smaller display.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 8 feature incredibly similar processing units, and although the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has 2 GB more RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Huawei Mate 30 Pro features as much storage capacity to store more apps and games as the Xiaomi Mi 8, both have exactly the same internal memory.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a lot better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro also has faster video frame rates, a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing much higher quality videos and photos, a larger aperture for better images in poorly lited environments and a camera with a way higher 40 MP resolution.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro counts with better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 32% larger battery capacity.
