Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a general score of 83.3, which is slightly better than Huawei P20's 78.1 general score. Both devices we are comparing have Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has older 10 version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Xiaomi Mi 8 construction has the same thickness than the Huawei P20, but it is just a little bit heavier.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features just a little better hardware performance than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has 2 GB more RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little bit better screen than Huawei P20, because although it has a just a little worse pixels density, it also counts with a little bit higher 1080 x 2248 pixels resolution and a bit bigger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a much better storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei P20, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei P20's battery lifetime is just as good as the battery lifetime in Xiaomi Mi 8. The Huawei P20 takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a same resolution back facing camera, the Huawei P20 also has a larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
