Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M31 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8, getting an 86.5 score against 83.3. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy M31 has newer 11 version while Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10 version. The Samsung Galaxy M31 body is newer than Xiaomi Mi 8's, but it's a bit heavier and somewhat thicker.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little more vivid screen than Galaxy M31, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels, a bit smaller display and a little bit lower quantity of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a brighter display. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M31, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy M31. Both of them have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM memory. The Galaxy M31 features a much better battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 76% bigger battery size. Samsung Galaxy M31 captures much better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has a way bigger back camera sensor shooting lot better quality photographs and videos and a much better 64 MP resolution camera.
