Comparison review
Galaxy M31s has a global score of 88, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8's 83.3 global score. The Galaxy M31s design is noticeably newer than Xiaomi Mi 8's, although it is thicker and somewhat heavier. These devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy M31s has a newer 11 version and Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10 version.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a slightly better display than Galaxy M31s, although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels, a little bit lower pixels amount in each inch of display and a little bit smaller screen. The Samsung Galaxy M31s features just a bit more memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 512 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy M31s. Both of them have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount. The Samsung Galaxy M31s counts with a very superior battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 76% greater battery capacity. Galaxy M31s takes a lot better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy M31s also has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels and a much larger back-facing camera sensor.
