Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia 5, having a general score of 83.3 against 81. Xiaomi Mi 8's body is a bit thinner than the Sony Xperia 5, but it's just a little bit heavier and was released a bit more further than a year before. The Xperia 5 has a CPU that's very similar to the processor in Xiaomi Mi 8, both have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little more vivid display than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248px and a quite lower display density, it also counts with a little bit larger screen. Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a bit better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for capturing pictures and videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same resolution back camera and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also counts with a bigger sensor.
The Xperia 5 features slightly more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a little better battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.
