Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is a bit better than the Xperia 5, with an 81.4 score against 81. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is a just a little lighter and just a little thinner phone than Xperia 5, even when both were released only 6 months apart. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a little bit better looking screen than Xperia 5, although it has a just a bit lower screen pixel density, a little worse 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a little bit smaller display.
The Xperia 5 has just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. They have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a superior camera than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for taking photos in low-light environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also counts with a camera with a lot higher resolution and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor which provides a way better photo and video quality.
The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a way bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia 5 counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because it has a 3140mAh battery capacity instead of 3070mAh.
