Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting a global score of 81.4 against 76.4. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it provides a couple additional features and a performance increase. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE construction is way newer and just a bit thinner than Xiaomi Mi 5s's, but it is just a little heavier.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores. Xiaomi Mi 5s features a screen that's just as good as Xiaomi Mi 9 SE's screen, and although the Xiaomi Mi 5s has a little worse pixels count in each inch of screen, a little bit smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 1920 resolution, they both have the same brightness.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE and Xiaomi Mi 5s count with very similar memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has a back facing camera with a much higher 48 mega pixels resolution, a bigger sensor taking better quality photographs and a larger diafragm aperture.
Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because it has a 4 percent greater battery capacity.
