Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 has a score of 83.2, which is slightly better than the OnePlus 8's 76 general score. The Xiaomi Mi 9 is an older phone than the OnePlus 8, but Xiaomi managed to build it a little lighter and a bit thinner anyway. OnePlus 8's processing unit is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 9 one, and although the OnePlus 8 has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The OnePlus 8 has a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has a really brighter display, a little bit higher display density, a slightly better 1080 x 2400px resolution and a quite bigger display. OnePlus 8 has as much memory to store more games and applications as the Xiaomi Mi 9, both of them have equal 128 GB internal memory.
Xiaomi Mi 9 features just a bit better camera than OnePlus 8. Both have the same diafragm aperture, a camera in the back with a 48 mega pixels resolution, the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same sensor size. OnePlus 8 features better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity.
