Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, having a score of 83.2 against 76.4. Xiaomi Mi 9 is a noticeably newer and just a bit thinner phone than Xiaomi Mi 5s, although it's also somewhat heavier. Xiaomi Mi 9 features a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has more processing cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a quite smaller display, and they both have the same brightness, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a little higher pixels density. Xiaomi Mi 5s's storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 9 one, both have exactly the same internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 features a very superior camera than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has a camera in the back with lot more mega pixels, a bigger aperture to take better low light images and video, a bigger back-facing camera sensor which offers a better image and video quality and faster video frame rate.
Xiaomi Mi 9 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity.
