Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 5 is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, with an 84.7 score against 77.5. The Asus ROG Phone 5 is a much newer cellphone than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, although it is noticeably thicker and somewhat heavier. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has a little larger display, a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2448 and a little higher display pixel density.
Asus ROG Phone 5 has a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have 8 cores, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also has more RAM memory.
