Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, getting a 79.6 score against 77.5. Xperia XZ3's construction is newer and just a little bit lighter than Xiaomi Mi Max 2's, although it is way thicker. The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a much better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way higher display pixel density and a much higher 1440 x 2880 resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a slightly better memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ3, because although it has a SD memory slot that admits 384 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory. Xperia XZ3 has a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Both of them have 8 cores and 4 GB of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a really longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh. Xperia XZ3 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ3 also has a lot larger back camera sensor which offers a way higher photo and video quality, a lot higher 19 mega-pixels resolution back camera and a larger aperture to take better low-light photography and videos.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia XZ3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, resigning some features and specifications.
