Huawei P20 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, with a score of 78.1 against 74.9. These phones work with Android operating system, but Huawei P20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo. Huawei P20 is a noticeably lighter and just a little bit thinner cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, even though they were only released with a couple of months difference.
The Huawei P20 counts with a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit greater pixel count in each inch in the display and a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has just a bit more storage for games and applications than Huawei P20, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
The Huawei P20 counts with a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 3. They have 8 cores and the same RAM memory amount. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has a much better battery life than Huawei P20, because it has a 62% larger battery capacity. Huawei P20 features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, the Huawei P20 also has a bigger aperture and a bigger back camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and photographs.
