Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a score of 81.2, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s's overall score of 76.4. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 body is newer and a bit thinner, but incredibly heavier than Xiaomi Mi 5s. The Xiaomi Mi 5s has a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit greater display pixels density.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has more internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a greater number of cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has just a little better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s takes a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and although they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, a F2 aperture, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also has a way bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi 5s. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, else you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Mi 5s, resigning a couple features and specifications.
