Even though the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s and Galaxy A8 Star were released only a few months apart, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s design is just a little thicker but just a bit lighter than Galaxy A8 Star. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s also has a higher amount of RAM.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a bit sharper display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2160 resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels density. The Galaxy A8 Star captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, because although it has a tinier sensor giving a lower image quality, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better low light images and video and a back camera with much more megapixels.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s counts with more memory for games and applications than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. Galaxy A8 Star features just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, because it has a 9% greater battery capacity.
