Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is a bit better than Sony Xperia XZ2, having an 83.8 score against 79.1. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 design is just a little heavier but incredibly thinner than Sony Xperia XZ2, and both were released with only a couple months difference. Xperia XZ2 features just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, because although it has a little smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a little bit more brightness and a little bit greater pixels count per screen inch.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 features a little better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 also has more RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 features a quite bigger memory for apps and games than Xperia XZ2, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
Sony Xperia XZ2 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs and/or video in low light environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a lot better 19 megapixels resolution back facing camera and a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 features a battery life that is just as good as Xiaomi Mi Mix 3's battery life, although the Sony Xperia XZ2 has a 1 percent smaller battery size.
