Sony Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi MIX's global score of 76.2. The Sony Xperia XZ1 construction is newer, notably lighter and a little bit thinner than the Xiaomi Mi MIX. The Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a little bit better looking display than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a just a bit worse quantity of pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a larger display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2040px.
Xperia XZ1 has a much bigger memory to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xperia XZ1 features a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Xperia XZ1 also has a larger number of cores.
Sony Xperia XZ1 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a F2 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a lot larger back camera sensor shooting much better quality videos and photos and a back-facing camera with more megapixels.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a really longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs more money than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Mi MIX. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ1, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi MIX, resigning some specifications.
