Comparison review
Galaxy M31 is much better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, with a general score of 86.5 against 76. These phones include Android operating system, but Galaxy M31 has an older 11 version while Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Galaxy M31 design is notably newer than Xiaomi Mi Note 2's, but it is somewhat heavier and thicker.
Galaxy M31 counts with a little faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Galaxy M31 also has a greater number of cores. Galaxy M31 has a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a slightly better 1080 x 2340 resolution, a bit greater screen pixels density and a little bigger display.
Galaxy M31 features a greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy M31 has a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a 47% larger battery capacity.
The Galaxy M31 counts with a way better camera than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy M31 also has a larger diafragm aperture for better photos in low-light environments, a way bigger sensor taking way better quality videos and photos and a much better 64 MP resolution camera.
