Comparison review
The Xperia 5 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, having a global score of 81 against 75.3. Xperia 5's body is much newer than Xiaomi Mi Note 3's, but it is just a little bit heavier and a little thicker. The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Mi Note 3. They have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 counts with a little bit better looking display than Xperia 5, although it has a little smaller screen, a just a little lower screen pixel density and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px. The Xperia 5 captures clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia 5 also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light images.
The Sony Xperia 5 features much more memory capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has just a little better battery life than Sony Xperia 5, because it has an 11 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Note 3. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, giving up some features and specs.
