Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro's global score of 78.7. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro has Android 10 version, providing a couple nice extra features. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's design is just a bit lighter and thinner than the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro, although it was released around 23 months before.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a screen that's just as good as the screen in Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro, although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a bit worse 1080 x 2220 resolution, a just a bit less pixels per inch in the screen and a quite smaller display. Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro features a slightly bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro also has a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB.
The Galaxy A8 Star and Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro both have similar processing units, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has a greater amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro counts with better battery performance than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3700mAh.
Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro shoots much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with much more megapixels.
